Degen Generalized Cylinders and Their Properties [PDF]
Generalized cylinder (GC) has played an important role in computer vision since it was introduced in the 1970s. While studying GC models in human visual perception of shapes from contours, Marr assumed that GC's limbs are planar curves. Later, Koenderink and Ponce pointed out that this assumption does not hold in general by giving some examples.

Deforming generalized cylinders without self-intersection by means of a parametric center curve
Large-scale deformations of a tubular object, or generalized cylinder, are often defined by a target shape for its center curve, typically using a parametric target curve. This task is non-trivial for free-form deformations or direct manipulation methods

Effect of Generating Heat on Ozone Generation in Dielectric Cylinder-Cylinder DBD Ozone Generator
A cylinder-cylinder dielectric-barrier discharge (DBD) ozone generator has been developed. The ozone concentration was measured at an oxygen pressure of 1.02 atm and an oxygen flow rate of 12 L/min. The heat generated in the ozone tube during the operation of the ozone generator was investigated using a thermal camera.

Numerical simulation on the vortex-induced vibration characteristics of staggered marine riser
In order to master the vortex-induced vibration laws of marine riser system, the generalized α method was developed to solve the cylinder vibration equation, and the stability of the solution method was enhanced.

Coupled Thermoelastic Analysis of Semi-elliptical Crack in Thick-walled Cylinder Considering Green-Lindsay and Green-Naghdi Type II Theories [PDF]
In this paper, the stress intensity factors for semi-elliptical cracks in a homogeneous isotropic cylinder have been determined. Athick-walled cylinder is subjected to a one-dimensional axisymmetric thermal shock on the outer surface according to the ...

Generalized cylinders in semi-Riemannian and spin geometry [PDF]
We use a construction which we call generalized cylinders to give a new proof of the fundamental theorem of hypersurface theory. It has the advantage of being very simple and the result directly extends to semi-Riemannian manifolds and to embeddings into spaces of constant curvature.
