Generalized Hypergeometric Distributions
Summary An examination is made of the conditions under which the hypergeometric series provides discrete frequency distributions; eight sets of conditions exist. Urn model representations, other derivations and special forms are discussed. The limiting forms are positive and negative binomials and the Poisson distribution.

Analysis of cryptocurrency exchange rates vs USA dollars using a new Dagum model
This paper offers the introduction of a new updated form of the Dagum distribution. The new updated form of the Dagum model is called a novel generalized-Dagum distribution. The proposed novel generalized-Dagum distribution is a prominent updated form of

Generalized Distribution Functions and an Alternative Approach to Generalized Planck Radiation Law
In this study, recently introduced generalized distribution functions are summarized and by using one of these distribution functions, namely generalized Planck distribution, an alternative approach to the generalized Planck law for the blackbody ...

A Stein characterisation of the generalized hyperbolic distribution [PDF]
The generalized hyperbolic (GH) distributions form a five parameter family of probability distributions that includes many standard distributions as special or limiting cases, such as the generalized inverse Gaussian distribution, Student's $t ...

Generalized Gompertz-power series distributions
In this paper, we introduce the generalized Gompertz-power series class of distributions which is obtained by compounding generalized Gompertz and power series distributions.

Accurate parameter estimation is essential for modeling the statistical characteristics of ocean clutter. Common parameter estimation methods in generalized Pareto distribution models have limitations, such as restricted parameter ranges, lack of closed ...

Multiplying a Gaussian Matrix by a Gaussian Vector
We provide a new and simple characterization of the multivariate generalized Laplace distribution. In particular, this result implies that the product of a Gaussian matrix with independent and identically distributed columns by an independent isotropic ...

A Fractional Fokker-Planck Model for Anomalous Diffusion [PDF]
In this paper we present a study of anomalous diffusion using a Fokker-Planck description with fractional velocity derivatives. The distribution functions are found using numerical means for varying degree of fractionality observing the transition from a

Distributional Chaotic Generalized Shifts [PDF]
Suppose $X$ is a finite discrete space with at least two elements, $Γ$ is a nonempty countable set, and consider self--map $φ:Γ\toΓ$. We prove that the generalized shift $σ_φ:X^Γ\to X^Γ$ with $σ_φ((x_α)_{α\inΓ})=(x_{φ(α)})_{α\inΓ}$ (for $(x_α)_{α\inΓ}\in X^Γ$) is: $\bullet$ distributional chaotic (uniform, type 1, type 2) if and only if $φ:Γ\toΓ$ has ...

A Novel Version of Geometric Distribution: Method and Application
This paper introduces a new family of discrete distributions, and investigates some of their statistical properties. The geometric distribution is utilized as a baseline for this new family, resulting in the derivation of a new discrete distribution ...
