A generalization of Fibonacci sequence

open access: yesProyecciones (Antofagasta), 2020
We attempt to generalize Fibonacci sequence by generating certain number of sequences whose terms are obtained by adding the last two generated terms of the preceding sequence. When we consider the particular case of generating only one sequence we obtain the Fibonacci sequence.

A Matrix Approach for Divisibility Properties of the Generalized Fibonacci Sequence [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2013
We give divisibility properties of the generalized Fibonacci sequence by matrix methods. We also present new recursive identities for the generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences.

Some properties of the generalized (p,q)- Fibonacci-Like number

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
For the real world problems, we use some knowledge for explain or solving them. For example, some mathematicians study the basic concept of the generalized Fibonacci sequence and Lucas sequence which are the (p,q) – Fibonacci sequence and the (p,q ...

On the 2k-step Jordan-Fibonacci sequence

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this paper, we define the 2k-step Jordan-Fibonacci sequence, and then we study the 2k-step Jordan-Fibonacci sequence modulo m. Also, we obtain the cyclic groups from the multiplicative orders of the generating matrix of the 2k-step Jordan-Fibonacci ...

Some Properties of Fibonacci Numbers, Generalized Fibonacci Numbers and Generalized Fibonacci Polynomial Sequences [PDF]

open access: yesKyungpook mathematical journal, 2017
In this paper we study the Fibonacci numbers and derive some interesting properties and recurrence relations. We prove some charecterizations for $F_p$, where $p$ is a prime of a certain type. We also define period of a Fibonacci sequence modulo an integer, $m$ and derive certain interesting properties related to them.

Powers of two in generalized Fibonacci sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Summary: The \(k\)-generalized Fibonacci sequence \((F_n^{(k)})_n\) resembles the Fibonacci sequence in that it starts with \(0,\ldots,0,1\) (\(k\) terms) and each term afterwards is the sum of the \(k\) preceding terms. In this paper, we are interested in finding powers of two that appear in \(k\)-generalized Fibonacci sequences; i.e., we study the ...

More generalized k(ε)-Fibonacci sequence, series, and its applications

open access: yesAIP Advances
In this study, we present a generalized higher-order delta operator with the co-efficient of falling factorial and its inverse, both of which allow us to get more generalized k(ε)-Fibonacci sequences along with their sums, a few theorems, and some ...

Generalized sums of Fibonacci and Lucas Numbers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Here we are proposing generalized sums for Fibonacci and Lucas numbers. In the case of the Fibonacci sequence, the generalized sum contains four Fibonacci numbers.

On Third-Order Bronze Fibonacci Numbers

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this study, we firstly obtain De Moivre-type identities for the second-order Bronze Fibonacci sequences. Next, we construct and define the third-order Bronze Fibonacci, third-order Bronze Lucas and modified third-order Bronze Fibonacci sequences. Then,

Generalized Fibonacci sequences in groupoids [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2013
Abstract In this paper, we introduce the notion of generalized Fibonacci sequences over a groupoid and discuss it in particular for the case where the groupoid contains idempotents and pre-idempotents. Using the notion of Smarandache-type P-algebra, we obtain several relations on groupoids which are derived from generalized Fibonacci ...
