Cut-Generating Functions [PDF]
In optimization problems such as integer programs or their relaxations, one encounters feasible regions that are the inverse images of a specific closed set S by a linear mapping. One would like to generate valid inequalities that cut off infeasible solutions. Formulas for such inequalities can be obtained through cut-generating functions.

ON STOCHASTIC GENERALIZED FUNCTIONS [PDF]
In this work we introduce a new algebra of stochastic generalized functions. The regular Hida distributions in [Formula: see text] are embedded in this algebra via their chaos expansions. As an application, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of a stochastic Cauchy problem involving singularities.

ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

The stieltjes transform of distributions
In the present work, two complex inversion formulas of Byrne and Love for generalized Stieltjes transformation are shown to be valid for a class of distributions.

Generalized Chromatic Functions
Abstract We define vertex-colourings for edge-partitioned digraphs, which unify the theory of $P$-partitions and proper vertex-colourings of graphs. We use our vertex-colourings to define generalized chromatic functions, which merge the chromatic symmetric and quasisymmetric functions of graphs and generating functions of $P$-partitions.

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

Generalized Vector-Valued Hardy Functions
We consider analytic functions in tubes Rn+iB⊂Cn with values in Banach space or Hilbert space. The base of the tube B will be a proper open connected subset of Rn, an open connected cone in Rn, an open convex cone in Rn, and a regular cone in Rn, with ...

Generalized Distribution Functions and an Alternative Approach to Generalized Planck Radiation Law
In this study, recently introduced generalized distribution functions are summarized and by using one of these distribution functions, namely generalized Planck distribution, an alternative approach to the generalized Planck law for the blackbody ...

Generalized function treatment of the Alfvén-gravity wave problem
A study is made of the steady-state Alfvén-gravity waves in an inviscid incompressible electrically conducting fluid with an interface due to a harmonically oscillating pressure distribution acting on the interface.
