On a bivariate generalized gamma distribution
A bivariate generalized gamma distribution (with marginal distributions of a gamma generalized type) is obtained from a bivariate normal distribution by means of a transformation. The analytic form of the joint density function presents symmetry between the marginal variables and a single non linear correlation parameter.

Bivariate superstatistics based on generalized gamma distribution
The univariate gamma (chi-squared) superstatistics has been used in several applications by assuming independence between systems. However, in some cases it seems more reasonable to consider a dependence structure. This fact motivates the introduction of

Estimating Parameter for the Mixture Generalized Gamma Distribution
Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation, 2018Mixture generalized gamma distribution is a combination of two distributions -- Generalized gamma distribution and length biased generalized gamma distribution. This distribution is presented by Suksaengrakcharoen and Bodhisuwan in 2014. The findings showed that probability density function (pdf) had fairly complexities, so it made problems in ...

Bounds for Generalized Gamma Distributed Fading Channels
IEEE Communications Letters, 2011In this article, upper bounds for the outage probability and moment generating functions of the fading channels with α-μ distribution are derived. The proposed upper bound for the moment generating function is used in the performance evaluation of M-PSK communication systems. The derived expressions are simple to use and do not require complex software

Homogeneity and scale testing of generalized gamma distribution
Reliability Engineering & System Safety, 2008The aim of this paper is to derive the exact distributions of the likelihood ratio tests of homogeneity and scale hypothesis when the observations are generalized gamma distributed. The special cases of exponential, Rayleigh, Weibull or gamma distributed observations are discussed exclusively.

Random sampling from the generalized gamma distribution
Computing, 1979This paper presents a simple and easy to implement algorithm for sampling from the generalized four parameter gamma distribution proposed by Stacy. The proposed method is based on a generalization of Von Neumann's rejection method where the first stage sampling is done from the log logistic distribution. The proposed method is simple, easy to implement

A generalized skew slash distribution via gamma-normal distribution
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2016In this paper, we introduce a generalization of the slash distribution via the gamma-normal distribution. We define the new slash distribution by relation of a gamma-normal random variable with respect to a power of a uniform random variable. The newly defined distribution generalizes the slash distribution and is more flexible in terms of its kurtosis
