On association in regression: the coefficient of determination revisited [PDF]
Universal coefficients of determination are investigated which quantify the strength of the relation between a vector of dependent variables Y and a vector of independent covariates X.

Generalized gamma distribution for biomedical signals denoising
AbstractA wide range of signs are acquired from the human body called biomedical signs or biosignals, and they can be at the cell level, organ level, or sub-atomic level. Electroencephalogram is the electrical activity from the cerebrum, the electrocardiogram is the electrical activity from the heart, electrical action from the muscle sound signals ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

The Retrieval of Drop Size Distribution Parameters Using a Dual-Polarimetric Radar
The raindrop size distribution (DSD) is vital for applications such as quantitative precipitation estimation, understanding microphysical processes, and validation/improvement of two-moment bulk microphysical schemes.

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy is increasingly associated with immune dysregulation and inflammation. The T cell receptor (TCR), a key mediator of adaptive immunity, shows repertoire alterations in various immune‐mediated diseases. The unique TCR sequence serves as a molecular barcode for T cells, and clonal expansion accompanied by reduced overall TCR ...

On stochastic comparisons of largest order statistics in the scale model [PDF]
Let $X_{\lambda _{1}},X_{\lambda _{2}},\ldots ,X_{\lambda _{n}}$ be independent nonnegative random variables with $X_{\lambda _{i}}\sim F(\lambda _{i}t)$, $i=1,\ldots ,n$, where $\lambda _{i}>0$, $i=1,\ldots ,n$ and $F$ is an absolutely continuous ...

ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to systematically observe the clinical manifestations, immune cell subsets, and dynamic changes in serological indicators in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) before and after efgartigimod (EFG) treatment. Methods We analyzed the baseline data, laboratory parameters, and lymphocyte subset proportions in MG ...

One Loop Chiral Corrections to Hard Exclusive Processes:I. Pion Case
We computed the leading non-analytic chiral corrections to the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of the pion and to the two-pion distribution amplitudes.
