The semigroup theories of fundamental importance were discovered in 1928 with the publication of a paper by A. K. Suschkewitsch. The paper is included in the only book published prior to 1961 dealing primarily with the algebraic theory of semigroups. The

The Translational Hull of a Semilattice of Weakly Reductive Semigroups
The translational hull is of central importance in the construction of ideal extensions and the study of densely embedded ideals particularly for weakly reductive semigroups (see [4, Chapter III]).

On additive bases in infinite abelian semigroups
Building on previous work by Lambert, Plagne and the third author, we study various aspects of the behavior of additive bases in infinite abelian groups and semigroups.

Generalized absolute values, ideals and homomorphisms in mixed lattice groups [PDF]
A mixed lattice group is a generalization of a lattice ordered group. The theory of mixed lattice semigroups dates back to the 1970s, but the corresponding theory for groups and vector spaces has been relatively unexplored.

Semigroups satisfying variable identities. II
The concept of a semigroup satisfying an identity x y = f ( x , y ) xy = f(x,y) is generalized by considering identities in n n -variables and letting the ...

Positive semigroups generated by elliptic operators on Lie groups
The authors generalize first of all a characterization of second order strongly elliptic differential operators given by \textit{S. Miyajima} and \textit{N. Okazawa} [Pac. J. Math. 125, 161-175 (1986; Zbl 0615.47031)]. Secondly they derive reuslts on the asymptotic behaviour of the semigroup generated by such an operator.

KNITTED SEMILATTIC STRUCTURE OF REGULAR ${\cal H}^\dag$-CYBER GROUPS
We consider regular [Formula: see text]-cyber groups in the class of [Formula: see text]-abundant semigroups. By using knitted semilattice of semigroups, we give some structure theorems for regular [Formula: see text]-cyber groups, right quasi-normal ...

Theorems of Birkhoff type in pseudovarieties and e-varieties of regular semi-groups
This thesis is concerned with the problem of being able to use, or generalize, Birkhoff's fundamental theorems for classes of algebras which do not form varieties - particularly in pseudovarieties and e-varieties.
