On the Application of a Hypergeometric Identity to Generate Generalized Hypergeometric Reduction Formulas

open access: yesAxioms
We systematically exploit a new generalized hypergeometric identity to obtain new hypergeometric summation formulas. As a consistency test, alternative proofs for some special cases are also provided.

Applications of the Generalized Marcum Q-Function to Janowski Subclasses of Harmonic Functions

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this work, we provide a convolution type operator Λν,b that is produced by the generalized Marcum Q-function and examine how it maps to various Janowski-type subclasses of harmonic univalent functions.

Rational approximations of the Arrhenius and general temperature integrals, expansion of the incomplete gamma function

open access: yesChemical Engineering Communications
When analyzing materials non-isothermally using the Arrhenius equation under linear heating, a temperature integration is necessary. While the frequency factor in this equation is typically assumed to be constant, it can actually vary with temperature for certain solid-state reactions.

Some results on a new generalized incomplete gamma function

open access: yesRevista Técnica de la Facultad de Ingeniería, 2010
\textit{F. Al-Musallam} and the reviewer [Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 7, No.~3-4, 175-190 (1998; Zbl 0922.33001) and Appl. Anal. 66, No. 1, 173-187 (1997; Zbl 0886.33002)] have defined a class of generalized gamma and incomplete gamma functions and obtained a number of properties including asymptotic expansions.

The Generalized Incomplete Gamma Functions

open access: yes, 2015
Engineering and physics demand a through knowledge of applied mathematics and a good understanding of special functions. These functions commonly arise in such areas of applications as heat conduction, communication systems, electro-optics, approximation theory, probability theory, and electric circuit theory, among others.
