This paper may be seen as a continuation of a recent paper by \textit{A. R. Miller} and \textit{I. S. Moskowitz} [J. Comput. Appl. Math. 91, 179-190 (1998; Zbl 0933.33003)]. For the generalized incomplete gamma function \(\Gamma(\nu,x;z) =\int^\infty_x t^{\nu-1} e^{-t-z/t}dt\), the author obtains the reduction formula \[ \Gamma(\pm n,z;z^2) =z^{\pm n ...

Unveiling the Role of Curvature in Carbon for Improved Energy Release of Ammonium Perchlorate
High‐curvature carbon materials identified via machine learning and simulation can enhance the heat release and combustion performance of ammonium perchlorate. ABSTRACT The catalytic role of carbon curvature in the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) remains largely unexplored. To address this gap, this study employs machine learning and

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

A gamma type distribution involving a confluent hypergeometric function of the second kind
In the present work a new gamma type distribution is obtained which involves a confluent hypergeometric function of the second kind. A generalized form of the incomplete gamma function and its complementary are introduced to obtain some statistical ...
