Recent Advances in Automatic Modulation Classification Technology: Methods, Results, and Prospects

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
As an essential technology for spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum access, automatic modulation classification (AMC) is a critical step in intelligent wireless communication systems, aiming at automatically recognizing the modulation schemes of received signals.

Enhanced Multidimensional Nonlinear Correlation via Phase Reconstruction and Broad Learning for Distributed Fusion Detection of Weak Pulse Signals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Due to the intricate chaotic environments encountered in distributed sensor applications, such as sea monitoring, machinery fault diagnosis, and EEG weak signal detection, neural networks often face insufficient data to effectively carry out detection tasks.

A New Jammer Suppression Method in MIMO Radar Using Matrix Pencil Method and Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2015
We propose a new algorithm to suppress the jammer signals and estimate the direction of arrival (DOA) of the signal of interest (SOI) for collocated MIMO radar by using the matrix pencil method (MPM) and the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT).

Asymptotic regime for impropriety tests of complex random vectors

open access: yes, 2020
Impropriety testing for complex-valued vector has been considered lately due to potential applications ranging from digital communications to complex media imaging. This paper provides new results for such tests in the asymptotic regime, i.e.

Variable selection in semiparametric regression modeling

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, we are concerned with how to select significant variables in semiparametric modeling. Variable selection for semiparametric regression models consists of two components: model selection for nonparametric components and selection of ...

Influence Diagnostics in Gamma‐Pareto Regression Model With Cook’s Distance for Standardized and Adjusted Pearson, Deviance, and Likelihood Residuals: Simulation and Application

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Influential analysis is the main diagnostic process to obtain reliable regression results. Same is true for the generalized linear model (GLM). The present article empirically compares the performance of different residuals of the gamma‐Pareto regression model (G‐PRM) to detect the influential points.

Subspace‐based distributed target detection method with small training data samples

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 18, Issue 12, Page 2541-2551, December 2024.
Considering the improvement of radar resolution and some problems in the practical application of adaptive target detection, the target is modelled by subspace, and two detectors are proposed based on GLRT and Wald tests respectively. Finally, the CFAR theory analysis and performance simulation analysis of the detectors are carried out.

Reliable Fault Detection and Diagnosis of Large-Scale Nonlinear Uncertain Systems Using Interval Reduced Kernel PLS

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Kernel partial least squares (KPLS) models are widely used as nonlinear data-driven methods for faults detection (FD) in industrial processes. However, KPLS models lead to irrelevant performance over long operation periods due to process parameters ...

Efficient Direct Detection of M-PAM Sequences with Implicit CSI Acquisition for The FSO System

open access: yes, 2014
Compared to on-off keying (OOK), M-ary pulse amplitude modulation (M-PAM, M>2) is more spectrally efficient. However, to detect M-PAM signals reliably, the requirement of accurate channel state information is more stringent.

Double‐hierarchy heterogeneous structural detection of a subspace signal for distributed multiple‐input multiple‐output radar

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 18, Issue 11, Page 2238-2246, November 2024.
The authors consider the problem of adaptive target detection in the background of interference and heterogeneous disturbance, for a MIMO radar system equipped with widely separated distributed antennas. By resorting to a two‐step procedure, a double‐hierarchy heterogeneous structural detector (MIMO‐GLRTdh) is proposed in accordance with generalised ...
