Representations for the Generalized Drazin Inverse of the Sum in a Banach Algebra and Its Application for Some Operator Matrices

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
We investigate additive properties of the generalized Drazin inverse in a Banach algebra A. We find explicit expressions for the generalized Drazin inverse of the sum a+b, under new conditions on a,b∈A.

Generalized Extended Matrix Variate Beta and Gamma Functions and Their Applications

open access: yesIngeniería y Ciencia, 2016
In this article, we define and study generalized forms of extended matrix variate gamma and beta functions. By using a number of results from matrix algebra, special functions of matrix arguments and zonal polynomials we derive a number of properties of ...

The N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetric w 1+∞ symmetry in the two-dimensional SYK models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We identify the rank (q syk + 1) of the interaction of the two-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = (2, 2) SYK model with the deformation parameter λ in the Bergshoeff, de Wit and Vasiliev (in 1991)’s linear W ∞ [λ] algebra via λ = 1 2 q syk + 1 $$ \lambda =

Interpretability and Representability of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Topological Spectral Theory for Real‐World Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

The Berger-Wang formula for the Markovian joint spectral radius [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The Berger-Wang formula establishes equality between the joint and generalized spectral radii of a set of matrices. For matrix products whose multipliers are applied not arbitrarily but in accordance with some Markovian law, there are also known analogs ...

Revealing Protein–Protein Interactions Using a Graph Theory‐Augmented Deep Learning Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study presents a fast, cost‐efficient approach for classifying protein–protein interactions by integrating graph‐theory parametrization with deep learning (DL). Multiscale features extracted from graph‐encoded polarized‐light microscopy (PLM) images enable accurate prediction of binding strengths.

Maximal rank root subsystems of hyperbolic root systems

open access: yes, 2003
A Kac-Moody algebra is called hyperbolic if it corresponds to a generalized Cartan matrix of hyperbolic type. We study root subsystems of root systems of hyperbolic algebras.

Subalgebras of matrix algebras generated by companion matrices

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2010
Let $f,g\in Z[X]$ be monic polynomials of degree $n$ and let $C,D\in M_n(Z)$ be the corresponding companion matrices. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the subalgebra $Z< C,D>$ to be a sublattice of finite index in the full integral lattice $M_n(Z)$, in which case we compute the exact value of this index in terms of the resultant of
