Cognitive Functioning in Vorinostat‐Treated Pediatric and Young Adult Patients Over the First 180 Days After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Cognitive and psychological difficulties could negatively interfere with treatment adherence and quality of life before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Methods to mitigate these changes may have positive effects on treatment success.

On Coupled Fixed Point Theorems for Nonlinear Contractions in Partially Ordered -Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
Two concepts—one of the coupled fixed point and the other of the generalized metric space—play a very active role in recent research on the fixed point theory.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Improving KKM Theory on General Metric Type Spaces

open access: yesTopological Algebra and its Applications, 2021
A generalized metric type space is a generic name for various spaces similar to hyperconvex metric spaces or extensions of them. The purpose of this article is to introduce some KKM theoretic works on generalized metric type spaces and to show that they ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

On 3-Dimensional Contact Metric Generalized (k,μ)-Space Forms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2014
The present paper deals with a study of 3-dimensional contact metric generalized (k,μ)-space forms. We obtained necessary and sufficient condition for a 3-dimensional contact metric generalized (k,μ)-space form with Qϕ=ϕQ to be of constant curvature.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Some Fixed Point Results For Mappings In G-Metric Spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2014
We prove a common fixed point theorem for a pair of self mappings satisfying a generalized contractive type condition in a complete G-metric space. We also deal with other fixed point results for a self mapping in the setting of generalized metric space.

Generalized contraction theorem in M -fuzzy cone metric spaces

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences, 2022
This work defines MM-Fuzzy Cone Metric Space, as a new metric space. It also analyzes possible forms of contractive conditions and groups them accordingly to set up generalized contractive conditions for self-mappings defined over MM-fuzzy cone metric ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
