Superchaotropic Nano‐ion Binding as a Gelation Motif in Cellulose Ether Solutions
Nano‐ions, like polyoxometalates and boron clusters, co‐assemble strongly with non‐ionic solutes in water driven by the chaotropic effect. Here, nano‐ion assembly with non‐ionic cellulose ethers (CE) is shown to result in unprecedented thickening effects and gelation of CE‐solutions. An interplay of electrostatic repulsion and attraction between chains

Post-Newtonian non-equilibrium kinetic theory [PDF]
The post-Newtonian hydrodynamic equations for a non-perfect fluid are developed within the framework of a post-Newtonian Boltzmann equation. The post-Newtonian components of the energy-momentum tensor are determined by considering the relativistic Eckart decomposition for a viscous and heat conducting fluid.

Dynamic Friction Model for the Investigation of Stick‐Slip Oscillations
An efficient dynamic friction model based on the Stribeck curve is presented, which allows to investigate the influencing parameters on the stick‐slip effect through finite element simulations. The simulation of a tribometer test proofs that the model correlates well with the tribometer test results.

A boundary‐conforming free‐surface finite element method applied to fused deposition modeling (FDM) is presented. Using a boundary‐conforming approach shows to have several advantages in an FDM simulation. In particular, boundary conditions, like heat fluxes or free‐surface, can be directly imposed on the boundary.

A collision result for both non-Newtonian and heat conducting Newtonian compressible fluids [PDF]
We generalize the known collision results for a solid in a 3D compressible Newtonian fluid to compressible non-Newtonian ones, and to Newtonian fluids with temperature depending viscosities.

Generalized reynolds number for non-newtonian fluids [PDF]
An extended version of the generalized Reynolds number was derived to characterize the duct flow of non-Newtonian gelled fluids of the Herschel-Bulkley-Extended (HBE) Type. This number allows also estimating the transition from laminar to turbulent flow conditions.

Abstract The significance of hybrid nanofluids in controlling heat transmission cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, this article scrutinizes the electromagnetized flow of Carreau hybrid nanofluid towards a stretching surface in a Darcy–Forchheimer porous medium with the occurrence of slip conditions.
