Carreau fluid model for blood flow through a tapered artery with a stenosis

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2014
In present article, we have studied the blood flow through tapered artery with stenosis. The non-Newtonian nature of blood in small arteries is analyzed mathematically by considering the blood as Carreau fluid.

An Analytical and Semi-analytical Study of the Oscillating Flow of Generalized Burgers’ Fluid through a Circular Porous Medium [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2019
Unsteady oscillatory flow of generalized Burgers’ fluid in a circular channel tube in the porous medium is investigated under the influence of time-dependent trapezoidal pressure gradient given by an infinite Fourier series.

Time fractional analysis of generalized Casson fluid flow by YAC operator with the effects of slip wall, and chemical reaction in a porous medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermofluids, 2023
The key aim of the present work is to apply the Yang-Abdel-Cattani operator of fractional order derivative with Rabotnov exponential kernel to the mass-heat transfer of the generalized Casson fluid with generalized Fick's and Fourier's laws.

Study of non-stationary flow of viscoelastic incompressible fluid in a flat channel [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The problems of the non-stationary flow of a viscoelastic fluid in a flat channel under the influence of a constant pressure gradient are solved based on the generalized Maxwell model.

Analytical Solution of Oscillatory Stokes Flow in a Porous Pipe with Spatiotemporally Periodic Suction/Injection

open access: yesApplied Mechanics, 2022
The study presents a generalized analytical solution of the laminar, oscillatory, creeping flow of an incompressible Newtonian fluid in a porous circular pipe with spatiotemporally periodic suction/injection at the wall.

General Mechanism for the Meandering Instability of Rivulets of Newtonian Fluids [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
A rivulet flowing down an inclined plane often does not follow a straight path, but starts to meander spontaneously. Here we show that this instability is the result of two key ingredients: fluid inertia and anisotropy of the friction between rivulet and substrate.

Analysis of heat and fluid flow for peristaltic wave phenomenon in sisko fluid with temperature-dependent viscosity

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
Peristaltic flow of Sisko fluid with temperature-dependent viscosity and viscous dissipation is considered in this paper. The constitutive equations for viscous and non-Newtonian power-law fluids are generalized to Sisko fluid.

Peristaltic transport of a power-law fluid in an elastic tube

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2018
A mathematical model is proposed to study the influence of elasticity on the peristaltic flow of a generalized Newtonian fluid in a tube. A power-law model is considered in the present study to understand the effect of elasticity on the peristaltic flow ...

Analysis of thin film flow of generalized Maxwell fluid confronting withdrawal and drainage on non-isothermal cylindrical surfaces

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
This investigation is concerned with the study of thin film flow of a generalized Maxwell fluid along with slip conditions, confronting withdrawal and drainage on non-isothermal cylindrical surfaces.
