Bounds on expected generalized order statistics

Statistics, 2013
We establish the upper nonpositive and all the lower bounds on the expectations of generalized order statistics based on a given distribution function with the finite mean and central absolute moment of a fixed order. We also describe the distributions for which the bounds are attained.

On generalized I-statistical convergenceof order

2013
The goal of this paper is to generalize the recently introduced summability method and introduce ܫ ఒെdouble statistical convergence of order ߙ by using ideal. We also investigate certain properties of this convergence.

Reliability Properties of Generalized Order Statistics

1995
In reliability theory, classes of distributions are considered which describe the life-length of components or systems. I.e., the probability of failure up to a time t ≥ 0 is modelled. There are numerous articles concerning the analysis of such families of distributions (see Barlow, Proschan 1975, 1981, Patel 1983, Basu 1988).
