New Generalized and Dual Generalized Order Statistics based Transmuted Log-Logistic Distributions

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA)
This paper introduces two extensions of the log-logistic distribution, namely the generalized order statistics transmuted log-logistic (GOSTLL) and the dual generalized order statistics transmuted log-logistic (DGOSTLL) distributions.

On Moments Properties of Generalized Order Statistics from Marshall-Olkin-Extended General Class of Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2019
Marshall and Olkin [Biometrika. 84 (1997), 641–652. https://doi.org/10.1093/biomet/84.3.641] introduced a new method of adding parameter to expand a family of distribution.

Recurrence Relations for Single and Product Moments of Dual Generalized Order Statistics from a General Class of Distributions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2015
In this paper we derive some general recurrence relations between single and product moments of dual gener- alized order statistics from a general class of distributions, thus generalizing and unifying the earlier results in this direction due to several

On the Computation of the Higher Order Statistics of the Channel Capacity over Generalized Fading Channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The higher-order statistics (HOS) of the channel capacity $\mu_n=\mathbb{E}[\log^n(1+\gamma_{end})]$, where $n\in\mathbb{N}$ denotes the order of the statistics, has received relatively little attention in the literature, due in part to the ...

A Comparative Study of Cerebral Oxygenation During Exercise in Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

Concomitants of Order Statistics and Record Values from Iterated FGM Type Bivariate-Generalized Exponential Distribution

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2021
We introduce the successive iterations in the original FGM type bivariate-generalized exponential distribution. Some distributional properties of concomitants of order statistics as well as record values for this family are studied. Recurrence relations

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Order Statistics Based List Decoding Techniques for Linear Binary Block Codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The order statistics based list decoding techniques for linear binary block codes of small to medium block length are investigated. The construction of the list of the test error patterns is considered.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Recurrence Relations for Moments of Generalized Order Statistics for Inverse Weibull Distribution and Some Characterizations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2017
We present recurrence relations for single, inverse, product and ratio moments of Generalized Order Statistics when sample is available from an Inverse Weibull Distribution.
