Generalized Fock Spaces and New Forms of Quantum Statistics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The recent discoveries of new forms of quantum statistics require a close look at the under-lying Fock space structure. This exercise becomes all the more important in order to provide a general classification scheme for various forms of statistics, and ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

On the Sum of Order Statistics and Applications to Wireless Communication Systems Performances

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the problem of evaluating the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the sum of order statistics, which serves to compute outage probability (OP) values at the output of generalized selection combining receivers.

GENERALIZED PARETO DISTRIBUTION BASED ON GENERALIZED ORDER STATISTICS AND ASSOCIATED INFERENCE

open access: yesStatistics in Transition New Series, 2019
In this paper, we have considered the generalized Pareto distribution. Various structural properties of the distribution are derived including (quantile function, explicit expressions for moments, mean deviation, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves and Renyi ...

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Statistical inference of the inverted exponentiated Lomax distribution using generalized order statistics with application to COVID-19

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
In this study, the parameters of the inverted exponentiated Lomax distribution via generalized order statistics are assessed using Bayesian and maximum likelihood approaches.

Diabetes‐induced vascular calcification is associated with low pyrophosphate and its oral supplementation prevents calcification in diabetic mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

Special cases in order statistics for the alternative parametrization of the Generalized Power Function Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2018
This paper investigates the order statistics based on the moment-generating function for the Generalized Power Function Distribution for the two different forms of this distribution.

Generalized structure of higher order nonclassicality

open access: yes, 2009
A generalized notion of higher order nonclassicality (in terms of higher order moments) is introduced. Under this generalized framework of higher order nonclassicality, conditions of higher order squeezing and higher order subpoissonian photon statistics

Generalized empirical likelihood estimators and tests under partial weak and strong identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The purpose of this paper is to describe the performance of generalized empirical likelihood (GEL) methods for time series instrumental variable models specified by nonlinear moment restrictions as in Stock and Wright (2000, Econometrica 68, 1055–1096 ...
