Identifying the New Keynesian Phillips curve [PDF]

open access: yes
Phillips curves are central to discussions of inflation dynamics and monetary policy. New Keynesian Phillips curves describe how past inflation, expected future inflation, and a measure of real marginal cost or an output gap drive the current inflation ...

MPDA: Microarray pooled DNA analyzer

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2008
Background Microarray-based pooled DNA experiments that combine the merits of DNA pooling and gene chip technology constitute a pivotal advance in biotechnology. This new technique uses pooled DNA, thereby reducing costs associated with the typing of DNA

"Empirical Likelihood-Based Inference in Conditional Moment Restriction Models" [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes an asymptotically efficient method for estimating models with conditional moment restrictions. Our estimator generalizes the maximum empirical likelihood estimator (MELE) of Qin and Lawless (1994).

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

GMM with many weak moment conditions [PDF]

open access: yes
Using many moment conditions can improve efficiency but makes the usual GMM inferences inaccurate. Two step GMM is biased. Generalized empirical likelihood (GEL) has smaller bias but the usual standard errors are too small.

Agnuside Stabilizes the Complex I Assembly Factor NDUFAF6 to Reinforce Mitochondrial Efficiency and Thermogenic Responsiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates

Inhibition of SIRT7 Overcomes Radioresistance in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors by Reactivating MEN1 Expression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...

Generalized Extreme Value Regression for Binary Rare Events Data: an Application to Credit Defaults [PDF]

open access: yes
The most used regression model with binary dependent variable is the logistic regression model. When the dependent variable represents a rare event, the logistic regression model shows relevant drawbacks.

Reliability Estimation For The Generalized Gamma Distribution And Robustness Of The Weibull Model

open access: yes, 1971
Two test statistics are suggested for discriminating between the exponential model and the more general Weibull or gamma models, and these are compared to some previously used test statistics by Monte Carlo methods.
