Blood Cell‐Camouflaged Liquid Metal Nanoconjugates Orchestrate Treg Depletion and STING‐Amplified Photothermal Immunity for Metastatic Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐blood biomimetic engineering transforms liquid metal nanoparticles into a tripartite immunotherapeutic platform that orchestrates regulatory T‐cell depletion, photothermal‐induced immunogenic cell death, and activation of the stimulator of interferon genes pathway.

Programmable Paracrine‐Mimetic Microneedle System for Temporal Regulation of Cardiac Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal signaling is encoded into a programmable paracrine‐mimetic microneedle patch via tris(2,2'‐bipyridyl)dichlororuthenium(II) hexahydrate/sodium persulfate‐tuned hydrogel microparticles that deliver TGF‐β, IGF‐1, and VEGF over phase‐matched 7‐, 14‐, and 28‐day windows.

Quantity Precommitment with Price Competition versus Quantity Precommitment with Market Clearing Prices in the Laboratory [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper reports the results of 39 laboratory duopoly markets for which pricing institution and participant experience are treatments. Cournot (C) duopolies (quantity precommitment and a price determined to clear the market) are contrasted with Kreps ...

A counterexample to uniqueness of generalized characteristics in Hamilton–Jacobi theory

open access: yes, 2011
The notion of generalized characteristics plays a pivotal role in the study of propagation of singularities for Hamilton{Jacobi equations. This note gives an example of nonuniqueness of forward generalized characteristics emanating from a given point.

Toward Material‐Specific Peptides From in Silico Guided Peptide Engineering to Target PET in the Presence of PS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a computational–experimental strategy to engineer material‐binding peptides toward polymer specificity. Molecular dynamics simulations identified residues driving polystyrene binding, enabling targeted substitutions that greatly reduced polystyrene affinity while preserving PET binding.

Tailored Covalent Organic Frameworks Enable the Encapsulation of Living Cells to Produce Rare Ginsenoside

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports the in situ fabrication of Escherichia coli@covalent organic frameworks (E. coli@COFs) in phosphate‐buffered saline. The COFs form an exoskeleton on E. coli, protecting intracellular β‐glucosidase (Ssbgl) while enhancing mass transfer.

Programmed Interfacial Phase Separation for Spatiotemporal Fungicide Delivery via Tunable Micro/Nano Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Translating dynamic liquid‐liquid phase separation into robust solid‐state architectures remains a challenge in materials engineering. Here, we report a composition‐driven interfacial assembly strategy that couples supramolecular coacervation with metal‐phenolic coordination to engineer tunable fungicide carriers.

Learning Work Function via Implicit Reasoning on Electrostatic Potential Landscapes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
StructPot‐CLR establishes a cross‐modal contrastive learning framework that aligns the crystal structures of 2D materials with plane‐averaged electrostatic potential landscapes for physically informed work‐function prediction. The model achieves an MAE of 0.265 eV and an R2 of 0.902 on the held‐out test set while accurately preserving key morphological

GsymPoint: An R Package to Estimate the Generalized Symmetry Point, an Optimal Cut-off Point for Binary Classification in Continuous Diagnostic Tests [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In clinical practice, it is very useful to select an optimal cutpoint in the scale of a continuous biomarker or diagnostic test for classifying individuals as healthy or diseased.
