Solution of the mixed boundary problem for the Poisson equation on two-dimensional irregular domains
Objectives. A finite-difference computational algorithm is proposed for solving a mixed boundary-value problem for the Poisson equation given in two-dimensional irregular domains.Methods. To solve the problem, generalized curvilinear coordinates are used.

The Poisson regression model is widely used for count data. This model assumes equidispersion. In practice, equidispersion is seldom reflected in data. However, in real-life data, the variance usually exceeds the mean.

On the generalized Poisson distribution [PDF]
We use Euler's difference lemma to prove that, for θ > 0 and 0 ≤λ < 1, the function Pn defined on the non‐negative integers by P n (θ, λ) = [θ(θ + nλ)n−1/n!]e−nλ−θdefines a probability distribution, known as the Generalized Poisson Distribution.

A New Poisson Generalized Lindley Regression Model
In this paper, a new count distribution is introduced. It is a mixture of the Poisson and generalized Lindley distributions. Statistical properties of the proposed distribution including the factorial moments, probability generating function, moment ...

A generalization of the Poisson transform [PDF]
When limits are omitted from an integral appearing in the text the range of integration is understood to be (cc, cc). At the conclusion of the paper we shall give a complex inversion formula for (2). The preceding transforms include as special cases the Poisson transform (A=O, B=C=1) recently studied by Pollard [1], and the "conjugate" of the Poisson ...

Generalized Poisson and Geometric Distributions – An Alternative Approach
An alternative approach of Poisson and Geometric distributions having a more general form of sampling method are suggested in this paper and defined them as generalized Poisson and generalized Geometric distributions respectively.

Traffic accidents that always increase along with the increasing population growth and the number of vehicles impact the national economy. The number of traffic accidents is a count data that a Poisson distribution can approximate. The Poisson regression

Poisson–Lie transformations and generalized supergravity equations
In this paper we investigate Poisson–Lie transformation of dilaton and vector field $${\mathcal {J}}$$ J appearing in generalized supergravity equations. While the formulas appearing in literature work well for isometric sigma models, we present examples

A generalization of the exponential-Poisson distribution [PDF]
The two-parameter distribution known as exponential-Poisson (EP) distribution, which has decreasing failure rate, was introduced by Kus (2007). In this paper we generalize the EP distribution and show that the failure rate of the new distribution can be decreasing or increasing. The failure rate can also be upside-down bathtub shaped.
