Bivariate Poisson Generalized Lindley Distributions and the Associated BINAR(1) Processes
This paper proposes new bivariate distributions based on the Poisson generalized Lindley distribution as marginal. These models include the basic bivariate Poisson generalized Lindley (BPGL) and the Sarmanov-based bivariate Poisson generalized Lindley ...

Mean and Variance Modeling of Under-Dispersed and Over-Dispersed Grouped Binary Data
This article describes the R package BinaryEPPM and its use in determining maximum likelihood estimates of the parameters of extended Poisson process models for grouped binary data.

On the generalization and estimation for the double poisson distribution
The Double Poisson Distribution introduced by Joshi is a bivariate analogue of the univariate counterpart. In this paper we define a generalized double Poisson distribution based on four parameters. We prove it is a probability function and derive a recurrence relation among the moments.

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on

A generalization of the negative binomial distribution
Background & Aim: Consider a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials with p denoting the probability of success at each trial. With this definition, the probability that the nth success proceed by r failures follows the negative binomial distribution ...

Traction Force Microscopy for Viscoelastic Substrates: A Semi‐Analytical Method
A semi‐analytical viscoelastic traction force microscopy framework is introduced for quantifying time‐resolved cell tractions on flat finite‐thickness substrates. The method generalizes elastic traction force microscopy to Generalized Maxwell materials, identifies when elastic approximations remain valid and, when they do not, shows that inferred ...

The Modified Borel–Tanner (Mbt) Regression Model
A new one-parameter family of discrete distributions is presented. It has some advantages against the Poisson distribution as a suitable model for modelling data with a high frequencies of zeros and showing over-dispersion (variance larger than the mean)

Nuclear mechanical properties are inherently scale‐dependent, arising from a hierarchical architecture that spans DNA, chromatin, the nuclear envelope, and condensates. Experimental techniques and theoretical models are integrated into a cohesive multiscale framework linking nanoscale structural features to organelle‐level mechanical behavior.

Promotion time cure model with generalized Poisson-Inverse Gaussian Distribution
Background & Aim: In the survival data with Long-term survivors the event has not occurred for all the patients despite long-term follow-up, so the survival time for a certain percent is censored at the end of the study.
