Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Skew power series rings with general commutation formula

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 1992
Let \(K\) be a skew field equipped with an automorphism \(\sigma\) and let \(X\) be some variable. A higher \(\sigma\)-derivation is a sequence \(S = (\delta_ n)_{n \geq 0}\) of additive maps from \(K\) into \(K\) such that one has \(\delta_ 0 = \sigma\) and \((Xk)l = X(kl)\) for every \(k,l\in K\) if we define: \(Xk = \delta_ 0(k)X + \delta_ 1(k)X^ 2 +

Problem of the Decohesive Carrying Capacity of a Cylindrical Shell Under a Ring of Forces and Tension

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 1984
Termination of the process of elastic-plastic deformations of a sandwich cylindrical shell under a simultaneous ring of radial forces and axial tension is studied in detail.

On generalized power series rings with some restrictions on zero-divisors

open access: yes, 2018
Let [Formula: see text] be a ring and [Formula: see text] a strictly ordered monoid. The construction of generalized power series ring [Formula: see text] generalizes some ring constructions such as polynomial rings, group rings, power series rings and ...

Machine Learning‐Supported Analysis for Predicting and Visualizing Nonlinear Relationships Between Material Properties in Electroplated Chromium Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...

Left APP-property of formal power series rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
summary:A ring $R$ is called a left APP-ring if the left annihilator $l_R(Ra)$ is right $s$-unital as an ideal of $R$ for any element $a\in R$. We consider left APP-property of the skew formal power series ring $R[[x; \alpha ]]$ where $\alpha $ is a ring

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
