Intracerebral Hemorrhage Induces Monocyte TNF Signaling in Patients That Is Suppressed by BAF312

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) causes high morbidity and mortality, with neurotoxic inflammation driven by infiltrating monocytes. This study is an in‐depth longitudinal examination of the immune response during the first week of ICH in the presence and absence of the immunomodulatory drug BAF312 (Siponimod).

Partial Exposure Attacks Against a Family of RSA-like Cryptosystems

open access: yesCryptography
An RSA generalization using complex integers was introduced by Elkamchouchi, Elshenawy and Shaban in 2002. This scheme was further extended by Cotan and Teșeleanu to Galois fields of order n≥1. In this generalized framework, the key equation is ed−k(pn−1)

Whitemanʼs generalized cyclotomic numbers with respect to t primes

open access: yesFinite Fields and Their Applications, 2012
Let \(p_1, \dots, p_t\) be distinct primes and \(\gcd(p_i -1, p_j-1) =2\) if \(i\neq j\). Let \(g\) be the common primitive root among \(v= p_1\cdots p_t\) and \(d := \mathrm{ord}_v(g)\). The Whiteman's subgroup \(W^{(t)} = (g)\) is a subgroup of the multiplicative group \(\mathbb{Z}_{v}^*\) of order \(d\) (therefore the index is \(2^{t-1}\)).

Re‐Purposing Sapropterin (Kuvan) for ACTA2‐Related Multisystemic Smooth Muscle Dysfunction Syndrome: A Translational Mechanistic and First‐In‐Human Therapeutic Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDS) is an ultra‐rare, ACTA2‐related disorder characterized by severe cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and smooth muscle dysfunction. Using molecular dynamics simulations and in silico drug screening, we identified that sapropterin dihydrochloride (Kuvan) is a candidate capable of ...

On Discrete Shifts of Some Beurling Zeta Functions

open access: yesMathematics
We consider the Beurling zeta function ζP(s), s=σ+it, of the system of generalized prime numbers P with generalized integers m satisfying the condition ∑m⩽x1=ax+O(xδ), a>0, 0⩽δσP with some σP0, there exists a closed non-empty set of analytic functions ...

Prime Faux Pas

open access: yes, 2008
There have been many conjectures made about prime numbers. We will look at a few of the major conjectures, examine why they were thought to be true, and prove why they are ...

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

On Joint Approximation of Analytic Functions by Beurling Zeta-Functions

open access: yesMathematics
For j=1,…,r, let Pj be a system of generalized prime numbers, NPj the corresponding system of generalized integers, and ζPj(s), s=σ+it, the Beurling zeta-function. In the paper, we consider simultaneous approximation of a collection of analytic functions

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

A question of Erdős and Graham on Egyptian fractions

open access: yesDiscrete Analysis
A question of Erdős and Graham on Egyptian fractions, Discrete Analysis 2025:28, 13 pp. An _Egyptian fraction_ is a way of writing a rational number as a sum of reciprocals of positive integers with distinct denominators.
