Efficient tree-structured SfM by RANSAC generalized Procrustes analysis
This paper proposes a tree-structured structure-from-motion (SfM) method that recovers 3D scene structures and estimates camera poses from unordered image sets. Starting from atomic structures spanning the scene, we build well-connected structure groups,

Biplots of free-choice profile data in generalized orthogonal Procrustes analysis
Free-choice profiling is a technique that is used in sensory studies whereby assessors are allowed to describe products by using their own preferred descriptors and own number of descriptors.

Comparing generalized procrustes analysis and statis [PDF]
We consider a model for sensory profiling data including translation, rotation and scaling. We compare two methods to calculate an overall consensus from several data matrices: GPA and STATIS. These methods are briefly illustrated and explained under our model. A series of simulations to compare their performance has been carried out.

Consensus Molecular Alignment Based on Generalized Procrustes Analysis [PDF]
One of the most serious problems in three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) studies is selection of an alignment rule for molecular super position of the compounds in the data set. In 3D-QSAR analyses of structure-activity data, a reference compound in a defined conformation is chosen, and all structures in the data set

A contribution to the knowledge of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) stem shape
This is a study on the evaluation of stem shape in Scots pine. The experiments were carried out on 430 stems without bark, taken from 30 fully analysed sample trees that grew in 5 different locations in the Czech Republic. Generalized Procrustes analysis

Flash Profile for rapid descriptive analysis in sensory characterization of passion fruit juice
The Flash Profile is a descriptive analysis method derived from Free-Choice Profile, in which each taster chooses and uses his/her own words to evaluate the product while comparing several attributes.

Developing a Descriptive Sensory Characterization of Flour Tortilla Applying Flash Profile
For any food, it is important to know consumption, preference, and the characteristics as quality parameters that are important to consumers of a product. The descriptive methodologies are an important tool to know the quality attributes of the products.
