Exact solution of the reaction-diffusion problem for a particle generating band on a surface by Riemann-Hilbert matching [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1995
The authors give a precise analytic solution for the diffusion-reaction problem of a zero-height generating band situated on a reacting infinite plane. The problem is formulated from redox reactions on micro-electrodes; and thus, is connected with important applications in micro-electrode sensors and molecular electronic devices.

A class of quasi-linear Riemann-Hilbert problems for general holomorphic Functions in the unit disk

Journal of Shanghai University (English Edition), 2000
It is considered the quasi-linear Riemann-Hilbert problem \[ u(t) + \Phi [u,v](t)v(t) = \Psi [u,v](t),\text{ a.e. on }\Gamma := \{t : |t|=1 \} \tag{1} \] in a class of generalized (in Vekua-Bers sense) holomorphic functions \(w(z)=u(z)+iv(z)\), \(z\in G :=\{ z : |z|< 1 \}\), namely, the functions \(w(z)\) of Hardy class \(H_{2}(G)\) satisfied the ...

Homogenization Estimates in the Riemann–Hilbert Problem for the General Beltrami Equation on the Plane

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2017
We study homogenization for the Beltrami equation $$ {A}_{\varepsilon }{u}_{\varepsilon}\equiv {\partial}_{\overline{z}}{u}_{\varepsilon }+{\mu}^{\varepsilon }{\partial}_z{u}_{\varepsilon }+{\nu}^{\varepsilon}\overline ...

On the Riemann‐Hilbert boundary value problem for generalized analytic functions in the framework of variable exponent spaces

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2017
Let Γ be a simple closed curve that bounds the finite domain D, z=z(ζ)=z(reiϑ) be the conformal mapping of the circle {ζ:|ζ|<1} onto the domain D. Furthermore, let the functions A(z), B(z) be given on D and Us,2(A;B;D) be the set of regular solutions of the equation .We call the Smirnov class Ep(t)(A;B;D) the set of those generalized functions Win ...

The Riemann–Hilbert problem in Hardy classes for general first-order elliptic systems

Russian Mathematics, 2016
We consider the Riemann–Hilbert (Hilbert) problem in classes similar to the Hardy class for general first-order elliptic systems on a plane. We establish basic properties ofHardy classes for solutions of that systems and solvability conditions for boundary-value problems.

A Riemann-Hilbert discontinuous boundary value problem for a generalized analytic vector

1982
The Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem with piecewise continuous coefficients for a generalized analytic vector is considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability and the index formula of this problem in a weighted Banach space \(L_ p(\rho)\) are established.
