Subsumptive general solutions and parametric general solutions of Post equations
Information Sciences, 2012The solution of a Boolean equation by a system of recurrent inequalities has been well known for a long time. An axiomatization of this method was introduced and studied by \textit{R. Melter} and the reviewer [Colloq. Math. Soc. Janos Bolyai 33, 637--650 (1983; Zbl 0523.94028)] under the name of subsumptive general solution; it applies verbatim to Post

A GENERALIZATION OF THE WAHLQUIST SOLUTION
International Journal of Modern Physics D, 1998We present a new perfect fluid solution belonging to (1,1) subfamily of Hauser–Mahlist spaces, rigidly rotating, type D in Petrov classification which reduces to the Wahlquist metric for particular values of our constants of integration. Unfortunately it is characterized by the equation of state of the Wahlquist solution: e + 3p = constant .

The problem of arranging dominoes with like numbers in groups of four was proposed by Édouard Lucas. Although Lucas published only symmetrical solutions for the double-six set, generalizations of the problem have led to some interesting results. For the double-six set, it has been shown there are hundreds of shapes meeting the requirement that like ...

A deductive solution for plan generation
New Generation Computing, 1986A new deductive solution of the well-known problem of generating plans for robots is presented. The solution uses the connection method and requires the description of the initial and final configuration to be expressed in terms of logical formulas of arbitrary structure. The set of admissible actions has to be formalized in terms of rules of the form \

On general solution of word equations
1994We define in this article an approach to tackle the problem of the computation of the general solution of word equations. Parametric transformation, Nielsen's transformation and Rouen's transformation allowing to collect in one transformation some unbounded sequences of elementary transformations are given.

General solution of mirror equation
1993Words with lists of parameters are introduced in [7], where they are proposed (in a research project) to give a finite description of the set of all the solutions of a word equation.
