Generalized Solutions of Parrondo's Games. [PDF]
AbstractIn game theory, Parrondo's paradox describes the possibility of achieving winning outcomes by alternating between losing strategies. The framework had been conceptualized from a physical phenomenon termed flashing Brownian ratchets, but has since been useful in understanding a broad range of phenomena in the physical and life sciences ...

On convergence of difference schemes of high accuracy for one pseudo-parabolic Sobolev type equation
Difference schemes of the finite difference method and the finite element method of high-order accuracy in time and space are proposed and investigated for a pseudo-parabolic Sobolev type equation.

In this work, we employed the Laplace transform of right-sided distributions in conjunction with the power series method to obtain distributional solutions to the modified Bessel equation and its related equation, whose coefficients contain the ...

We consider a boundary-value problem with mixed boundary conditions for a second-order differential-difference equation on a finite interval (0 ,d). We prove existence of a generalized solution of the problem and study the conditions on the right-hand ...

Generalized global defect solutions [PDF]
We investigate the presence of defect structures in generalized models described by real scalar field in $(1,1)$ space-time dimensions. We work with two distinct generalizations, one in the form of a product of functions of the field and its derivative, and the other as a sum.

Elliptic General Analytic Solutions [PDF]
To find analytically the traveling waves of partially integrable autonomous nonlinear partial differential equations, many methods have been proposed over the ages: “projective Riccati method,”“tanh‐method,”“exponential method,”“Jacobi expansion method,”“new … ,” etc.

Generalized magnetic universe solutions [PDF]
In this paper we apply the techniques which have been developed over the last few decades for generating nontrivially new solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations from seed solutions for simple spacetimes. The simple seed spacetime which we choose is the "magnetic universe" to which we apply the Ehlers transformation.

Generating AdS string solutions [PDF]
We use a Pohlmeyer type reduction to generate classical string solutions in AdS spacetime. In this framework we describe a correspondence between spikes in AdS_3 and soliton profiles of the sinh-Gordon equation. The null cusp string solution and its closed spinning string counterpart are related to the sinh-Gordon vacuum.

In this investigation, the exact solutions of variable coefficients of generalized Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) equation and the Gardner equation are studied with the help of an extended generalized G′/G expansion method.
