Generalized synchronization versus phase synchronization
Physical Review E, 2000The relation between generalized synchronization and phase synchronization is investigated. It was claimed that generalized synchronization always leads to phase synchronization, and phase synchronization is a weaker form than generalized synchronization.

On generalized synchronization of spatial chaos
Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2003Here, a generalized synchronization of two spatially chaotic systems is investigated. At the same time, the range of the coupling coefficient in generalized synchronization is also determined analytically. These results thus extend generalized chaos synchronization from temporal systems to spatial systems.

Brushless induction synchronous generator
2016 IEEE 25th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2016In present scenario of renewable energy generation systems, brush-less and magnet-less generators are becoming more popular due to merits such as high reliability, robustness, fault tolerant capability and almost maintenance free operation, etc. This paper deals with a brushless induction synchronous generator (BInSyG), where an induction and a ...

Parallel Winding of a Synchronous Generator
2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE), 2019The paper deals with the design of seven times parallel synchronous generator winding. The parallel winding is not commonly used for synchronous generators because it could be a possible source of difficulties, especially compensatory currents. The paper mentions the design, simulations, manufacturing and results of a measurement performed in a power ...

Discretization scheme for a synchronous generator
Proceedings of the 40th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.01CH37228), 2002In this paper, we present a control-observer scheme for discrete-time nonlinear systems. A controller and an observer are proposed for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems. The results obtained are applied to synchronous generator in order to illustrate the proposed scheme.

Synchronous Starting of Generator and Motor
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1945A SYNCHRONOUS motor, generator, or condenser can be started from rest, by means of shaft torque, induction-motor (amortisseur winding) torque, or synchronizing torque. This paper presents data on the last method of starting. The system studied consists of a prime mover driving a synchronous generator, and a synchronous machine driven electrically by ...

Generalized synchronization of complex networks
Physical Review E, 2009We consider generalized synchronization of complex networks, which are unidirectionally coupled in the drive-response configuration. The drive network consists of linearly and diffusively coupled identical chaotic systems. By choosing suitable driving signals, we can construct the response network to generally synchronize the drive network in a ...

Synchronization Process and a Pre-synchronization Method of the Virtual Synchronous Generator
2020 4th International Conference on HVDC (HVDC), 2020Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is the concept of controlling the grid-connected inverters to mimic conventional synchronous generators (SGs), and it is considered to be a promising method to enhance the grid inertia and power regulation ability when the renewable energy has a high penetration rate in the grid.

Generalized Synchronization in Chaotic Systems
Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 1998Let there be a drive system \(dx/dt=f(x), \;x\in \mathbb{R}^n\), and a function \(H: \mathbb{R}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^m\). The goal is to construct a response system \(dy/dt = g(u(x),y)\) with the drive function \(u\) such that \(||y(t, y_0) - H(x(t,x_0))||\rightarrow 0\) as \(t \rightarrow \infty\) (generalized synchronization).

SYNCHRONIZATION AND GENERALIZED SYNCHRONIZATION OF FRACTIONAL ORDER CHAOTIC SYSTEMS
Modern Physics Letters B, 2009In this paper, based on the modified state observer method, synchronization and generalized synchronization of a class of fractional order chaotic systems are presented. The two synchronization approaches are theoretically and numerically studied and two simple criterions are proposed.
