Finitely Generated Synchronizing Automata
2009A synchronizing word w for a given synchronizing DFA is called minimal if no proper prefix or suffix of w is synchronizing. We characterize the class of synchronizing automata having finite language of minimal synchronizing words (such automata are called finitely generated ).

A generalized frame synchronizer
[Conference Record] GLOBECOM '92 - Communications for Global Users: IEEE, 2003A modification of the class of frame synchronizers which maximize a likelihood function is proposed. If the stage following the frame sync unit is able to distinguish incorrect from correct syncs, then supplying several alternative frame starting positions effectively improves the synchronization performance.

Synchronous generator load angle estimation
Melecon 2010 - 2010 15th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2010In the paper is proposed a load angle estimation method for synchronous generators. The estimation method is based on synchronous generator corresponding voltage-current vector diagram and parameters of generator, transformer and transmission lines. In addition measurement of the load angle is presented.
