Low Power and Energy‐Efficient Design of MTJ/FinFET Circuits

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
This work begins by outlining the fundamental concepts of MTJs, FinFETs, and the conventional hybrid CMOS/MTJ framework. It then explains the operating mechanism and configuration of the proposed STT‐MTJ/FinFET‐based OR logic gate. The final sections present the simulation outcomes and analyze the influence of FinFET fin variation.

Dissipation in graphene and nanotube resonators

open access: yes, 2007
Different damping mechanisms in graphene nanoresonators are studied: charges in the substrate, ohmic losses in the substrate and the graphene sheet, breaking and healing of surface bonds (Velcro effect), two level systems, attachment losses, and ...

Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) for UAV Logistics Path Optimization: Charging Station Location and Multi‐Objective Distribution Collaborative Decision‐Making

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study innovatively incorporates facility service capacity, dynamic energy consumption constraints and multi‐objective Pareto frontiers into a unified optimization framework by constructing a three‐dimensional coupled decision space, and uses an improved column generation algorithm to break through the bottleneck of mixed integer programming ...

Boundary integral formulation for interfacial cracks in thermodiffusive bimaterials

open access: yes, 2015
An original boundary integral formulation is proposed for the problem of a semi-infinite crack at the interface between two dissimilar elastic materials in the presence of heat flows and mass diffusion.

Performance Evaluation of an ANN‐Based Model for Hot Rolling Current Prediction: A Sensitivity and Statistical Indicator Approach

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
An ANN‐based model accurately predicts electromotor current in hot rolling by optimizing thickness reduction across passes. Statistical validation (R2 > 0.99) and sensitivity analysis reveal higher energy efficiency and process stability in thicker sheets. A novel metric offers deeper insight into deformation energy and current distribution.

Numerical analysis of the propagation characteristics of Stoneley waves at an interface between microstretch thermoelastic diffusion solid half spaces

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Solids and Structures
This paper is concerned with the study of propagation of Stoneley waves at the interface of two dissimilar isotropic microstretch thermoelastic diffusion medium in the context of generalized theories of thermoelasticity.

Corner reflectors and Quantum-Non-Demolition Measurements in gravitational wave antennae

open access: yes, 2004
We propose Fabry-Perot cavity with corner reflectors instead of spherical mirrors to reduce the contribution of thermoelastic noise in the coating which is relatively large for spherical mirrors and which prevents the sensitivity better than Standard ...

On Characteristic Times in Generalized Thermoelasticity [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mechanics, 2001
The model of Green and Lindsay is a popular generalization of the theory of thermoelasticity incorporating second sound. Within the model the second sound is intimately linked to a presence of two characteristic times, t1 and t2, constrained by an inequality t2⩽t1. We present a modification of the theory where no constraints on the times arise.
