Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Early Radiation Therapy Response Assessment Using Multi‐Scale Photoacoustic Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tomographic and mesoscopic photoacoustics capture intratumoural features of radioresistance and response. ABSTRACT There is a critical unmet clinical need to identify biomarkers that predict and detect radiation therapy (RT) response in cancer. Using the unique capabilities of multi‐scale photoacoustic imaging (PAI) to depict tumor oxygenation and ...

GIU-GANs: Global Information Utilization for Generative Adversarial Networks

open access: yesNeural Networks, 2022
In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, image generation based on deep learning has dramatically advanced. Image generation based on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) is a promising study. However, since convolutions are limited by spatial-agnostic and channel-specific, features extracted by traditional GANs based ...

High‐Fidelity Synthetic Data Replicates Clinical Prediction Performance in a Million‐Patient Diabetes Cohort

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study generates high‐fidelity synthetic longitudinal records for a million‐patient diabetes cohort, successfully replicating clinical predictive performance. However, deeper analysis reveals algorithmic biases and trajectory inconsistencies that escape standard quality metrics. These findings challenge current validation norms, demonstrating why a

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Universal Adversarial Training Using Auxiliary Conditional Generative Model-Based Adversarial Attack Generation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
While Machine Learning has become the holy grail of modern-day computing, it has many security flaws that have yet to be addressed and resolved. Adversarial attacks are one of these security flaws, in which an attacker appends noise to data samples that ...
