Attachment, Forgiveness, and Generativity in Midlife [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Current literature suggests secure attachment and forgiveness are positively correlated. However, to date, the relationship of adult attachment, forgiveness, and generativity has not been explored.

Spatial Control of Light‐Responsive Proteins and Optogenetics Within Hydrogels via Volumetric Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of

Drivers for sustainable food purchase intentions: Prosocial attitudes for future generations and environmental concerns

open access: yesFuture Foods
Generativity, concern and commitment for the next generation, is established to be important for understanding people’s behaviors to SDGs. However, little is known about how generativity is related to sustainable food consumption intentions and behaviors.

Wearable Morphology‐Adaptive in‐Ear Device With Active Cleansing Capability for Multimodal Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present SCIENCE, an in‐ear multimodal physiological monitor featuring two key innovations. Water‐triggered morphological expansion (a 2‐mm cylinder to a 9‐mm spindle) achieves conformal adaptation across complex canal geometries. Simultaneously, active biofouling mitigation disrupts cerumen barriers, reducing sensor‐skin impedance by 20%.

Digital Traces in Context| Social Media Giveth, Social Media Taketh Away: Facebook, Friendships, and APIs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Communication, 2018
The early aughts saw an explosion of interest in social network sites. Many such sites, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter expanded to become “platforms,” meaning they are both websites and distributors of data.

Artificial Intelligence Meets Micro/Nanorobotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Artificial intelligence is transforming micro‐ and nanorobots from externally controlled, task‐specific machines into adaptive, autonomous systems. Machine learning, multimodal perception, digital twins, AI‐guided materials and geometry design enhance propulsion, localization, decision‐making, whichaccelerates clinical and environmental applications ...

Generativity Development of College Students Who Mentor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Research has shown that college students who mentor demonstrate higher levels of generativity than other college student leaders and general college students; yet, it is unclear whether college student mentors develop generativity over time as a result ...

Electrolyte Engineering Challenges and Opportunities for Next‐Generation Aqueous Ammonium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous ammonium‐ion batteries (AAIBs) face a hydrogen‐bond paradox: the HB network enables fast NH4+ transport but triggers water decomposition. This review dissects this dilemma, evaluates multiple electrolyte engineering strategies, and outlines four future directions for next‐generation AAIB design ABSTRACT Aqueous ammonium‐ion batteries (AAIBs ...

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Generativity and death contemplation : an empirical study [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The lack of attention paid to potential linkages between Erikson's construct of generativity and consciousness of death was noted. It was hypothesized that the more individuals are conscious of death the higher will be their generativity. Death awareness
