Transition matrix generation

Proceedings of the 5th international conference on Computer systems and technologies - CompSysTech '04, 2004
The paper considers a new approach for regression based construction of transition matrix using market spread curves or historic probabilities of default. The generated transition matrix could be adjusted according to the credit year quality and the systematic component or using an aggregation schema.

Generic Matrix Sign-Stability

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1987
AbstractA new concept of generic sign-stability is proposed, and a necessary and sufficient condition for this property is given. This result shows that the condition proposed by Quirk and Ruppert [12] is correct almost everywhere, and helps to clarify the counterexample presented by Jeffries [4].

Generating Matrix Exponential Random Variates

SIMULATION, 1998
In this paper we present a technique for generating random variates from an empirical distribution using the matrix exponential representation of the distribution. In our experience, a matrix exponential representation of an empirical distribution produces random variates with an excellent fit with the empirical distribution.

A Generalized Orthogonal Transformation Matrix

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1979
A procedure is described for generating a two-parameter orthogonal transformation matrix which reduces to the Fourier and Hadamard transformation matrices under special conditions. This generalized transformation matrix is particularly useful for multidimensional signal processing on a real-time basis because it preserves a proper relationship in the ...
