Sugar‐sensing swodkoreceptors and swodkocrine signaling
Sugar‐sensing swodkoreceptors that trigger swodkocrine signaling. Abstract Sugars are one of the major metabolites and are essential for nucleic acid synthesis and energy production. In addition, sugars can act as signaling molecules. To study sugar signaling at the systemic level, there is an urgent need to systematically identify sugar‐sensing ...

Though the Leprdb/db mouse is a common and well‐studied model of type II diabetes mellitus, there are a few specific guidelines for its husbandry, and wound complications are common. We present a modified husbandry approach for the Leprdb/db mouse that includes increased cage size, decreased housing density, and more frequent cage changes.

Purine Metabolism and Dystonia: Perspectives of a Long‐Promised Relationship
Purine pool imbalance in purine metabolism disorders, such as Lesch–Nyhan disease, intersects with dystonia pathogenesis. The recent discovery of gain‐of‐function IMPDH2 pathogenic variants in patients with prominent dystonic manifestations provides new insights into the link between dystonia and purinergic system defects.

Abstract Testudines are one of the best‐represented taxonomic groups among the Paleogene taxa of the Duero Basin (Castile and Leon Autonomous Community, central Spain). Among them, Neochelys (Podocnemidide) and Allaeochelys (Carettochelyidae) are most abundant, allowing the population to be assessed for osteological anomalies.

Genomic Evaluation of Recombination in Small Highly Inbred Beef Cattle Populations
The study characterizes recombination in small beef cattle populations, revealing higher rates in CGC composites compared to inbred Line 1 Herefords. It identifies significant SNP associations linked to recombination across various autosomes, highlighting complex polygenic influences, with implications for genetic diversity and breeding strategies ...

Long‐Term Safety and Efficacy of Mepolizumab in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis
Objectives Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare, relapsing, inflammatory disease. Management of EGPA predominantly relies on oral corticosteroids (OCS), which are associated with many adverse effects. The Phase III MIRRA trial demonstrated efficacy and safety of mepolizumab, anti‐interleukin‐5 biologic, for EGPA.
