Genetic Markers for Schizophrenic Subgroups
Psychopathology, 1982By the study of hereditary serum protein markers in psychotic patients and normal controls, a surplus of Gc 1-1 (p < 0.01) and transferrin B variants (p < 0.0027) has been established in schizophrenias. Affective psychoses are characterized by an excess of the haptoglobin (Hp) serum type 2-2 (p < 0.001).

Constitutional genetic markers of aging
Experimental Gerontology, 1988Constitutional genetic markers of aging can be defined as members of that subset of genes that modulate the times of onset and/or the rates of progression of one or more of the processes of aging, or the response of the target cells, tissues and organisms to a particular process. These genetic factors are classified into: (1) those that control changes

Dermatoglyphics as Genetic Markers
1990Populations composed of mixed descendants from two different racial groups provide a means for detecting whether or not a particular variation may have a genetic basis. Dermatoglyphics provide an excellent tool for such investigations. They have high heritabilities and are not altered by postnatal factors.

Genetic Markers of Sleep and Sleepiness
Sleep Medicine Clinics, 2017The circadian clock interacts with the sleep homeostatic drive in humans. Chronotype and sleep parameters show substantial heritability, underscoring a genetic component to these measures. This article reviews the genetic underpinnings of chronotype and of sleep, including sleepiness, sleep quality and latency, and sleep timing and duration in healthy ...
