Cancer of the cervix is by far the commonest tumour of Ugandan women. The incidence is high in all parts of Uganda. Patients present late in the course of the disease and therapy is often impossible at this stage. Carcinoma of the corpus uteri is an uncommon tumour and often shows unusual histological patterns.

To the Editor.— In the MarchArchives(115:306-308, 1979), Dr Wade and colleagues described "a new entity [bowenoid papulosis of the genitalia] whose biologic behavior if untreated is as yet unknown." In actual fact, this entity is well known 1-4 and its biologic behavior in young patients is one of spontaneous regression in many cases.
