A família Lentibulariaceae, da ordem Lamiales, é a maior entre as famílias de plantas carnívoras e está composta pelos gêneros Pinguicula, Genlisea e Utricularia. Filogeneticamente o gênero Pinguicula é o grupo irmão do clado Genlisea-Utricularia.
