Genotype x Environment Interactions and Selection Environments
2016Differences between genotypes (G) over environments (E) may vary in magnitude or involve changes in ranking. Assessments of G × E interactions are required at the start of breeding to determine the number of programmes required for the target environments and different end uses, and at the finish to make recommendations to farmers and growers.

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1993
Multilocation trials in plant breeding lead to cross-classified data sets with rows=genotypes and columns=environments, where the breeder is particularly interested in the rank orders of the genotypes in the different environments. Non-identical rank orders are the result of genotype x environment interactions.

Genotype × Environment Interaction in Psychopathology: Fact or Artifact?
Twin Research and Human Genetics, 2006AbstractRecent studies have claimed to detect interaction between candidate genes and specific environmental factors (Genotype × Environment interaction, G × E) in susceptibility to psychiatric disorder. The objective of the present study was to examine possible artifacts that could explain widely publicized findings.

Structuring Genotype X Environment Interaction by Regression Techniques
2021The investigation of the structure of genotype-by-environment interaction is an important topic in multi-environment trials, in which a series of tests are undertaken across multiple environmental conditions. This study proposes a generalisation of joint regression analysis for situations when the response (e.g. yield) is non-linear across environments

Genotype x environment interaction: an old problem in a new field
Trends in Neurosciences, 2000The question of whether genes or the environment is more important is outdated. Behavioral geneticists have long stressed the fact that these factors work in interaction with each other and separating the two is only a crude model of reality. Genotype x environment interaction is coming into focus again, however.

GENOTYPE X ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION FOR GRAIN YIELD IN COWPEA
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1996Thirteen varieties of cowpea were evaluated in three environments and stability parameters were studied for yield. The varieties IT- 86-D-1056 and Co-4 had average response to changes in environmental conditions with higher mean yield as against the population mean yield.

Genotype x Environment Interaction and Stability Parameters in Safflower
Madras Agricultural Journal, 2013G x E interaction and stability parameters of 18 genotypes of safflower under three diverse environments for yield and its related traits were studied. It was observed that G x E interaction was significant for all the traits studied. The results indicated that linear and non-linear components of G x E interaction were responsible for the differences ...

Genotype x environment interactions in mixtures of herbage grasses
The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1974SummaryThe technique of regression on environmental index is used to examine the behaviour of varieties in monoculture and mixture. It is shown that, sometimes, single regressions for each variety do not provide an adequate explanation of the interactions between varieties and environments.

Trails of spring barley genotypes with regard to genotype x environment interaction
