St. Helena familial genu valgum
Clinical Genetics, 1986A kindred on the mid‐Atlantic island of St. Helena has severe “knock knees” and variable lesser malalignment at the elbows and wrists. The disorder is the consequence of hypoplasia of the corresponding bony condyles, with subsequent progressive degenerative osteoarthrophy.

Gait Analysis of Stapling for Genu Valgum
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 2004Many authors have advocated stapling or epiphysiodesis of the distal medial femur as a means of correcting genu valgum. However, in the literature, aside from clinical improvement (appearance, pain, function), objective evidence of kinetic and kinematic improvement is lacking. Therefore, the authors undertook a prospective gait analysis evaluation of a

The correction of genu valgum by epiphysial stapling
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 1977Forty-nine patients treated by epiphysial stapling for idiopathic genu valgum are reviewed. The children were aged from eleven to fourteen and a half years. The severity of the condition and subsequent correction were assessed by measuring the inter-malleolar distance.

Physeal Stapling for Idiopathic Genu Valgum
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1999Adolescent idiopathic genu valgum may cause anterior knee pain, patellofemoral instability, circumduction gait, and difficulty running. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and discuss what we consider to be an ideal treatment protocol using hemiphyseal stapling. We reviewed 76 patients (152 knees) who underwent hemiphyseal stapling for idiopathic

Hereditary pubertal genu valgum in Iran
Clinical Genetics, 1994Two male offspring of a healthy father in Galaz, a remote village in Northwest Iran, were noted to show severe asymmetric genu valgum, with 57 and 82 degrees angulation and dysplasia of the lateral femoral condyle, together with adaptive biomechanical changes of the ankle alignment. Three of the five male offspring of a second marriage who have reached
