Aquinas’s Fourth Way of Demonstrating God’s Existence: From Virtual Quantum Gradations of Perfection (Inequality in Beauty) of Forms Existing within a Real Genus

open access: yesStudia Gilsoniana, 2019
The chief aim of this article is to show that St. Thomas Aquinas’s Fourth Way of demonstrating God’s existence can only be made precisely intelligible by comprehending it as a real, generic whole in light of its specific organizational principles ...

The Effect of Amino Acids on the Formation of Amorphous Calcium Carbonate Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biomineral formation often proceeds via the assembly of amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC) nanoparticles with narrow size distributions. Using in situ SAXS coupled to a stopped‐flow device, we follow synthetic ACC formation with a 10 ms time resolution and show that amino acids narrow the size distribution at low supersaturation, highlighting their key ...

Dichotomy genus-state in the conceptualization of nomadism

open access: yesRUDN journal of Sociology, 2019
The article addresses the problem of conceptualizing nomadism by the genus-policy dichotomy under the deconstruction of the classical western paradigm defining social as equal to the state.

Microneedle‐Based Biofertilizer Delivery Improves Plant Growth Through Microbiome Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This figure shows how microneedles are used to deliver biofertilizers to enhance plant growth through microbial migration, metabolic reprogramming, and changes in plant endogenous microbiome. Abstract This study presents a microneedle‐based system for the delivery of rhizospheric biofertilizers into plant tissues to enhance growth.

Proteins, Processing, and Properties of Adhesive Fluid Condensates Purified from Mussels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mussels exhibit an unmatched proficiency for adhering to wet surfaces in salty environments—a remarkable ability that could inspire new biomedical and technical glues. The fluid protein condensates used to form the underwater mussel glue are extracted, reconstituted and characterized with advanced spectroscopy and nanomechanical analysis, revealing ...

Uniform In‐Plane Growth of Large‐Area Ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 Membrane

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multicycle, ultradilute exposure strategy enables uniform in‐plane growth of ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 membranes on graphene, suppressing bulk nucleation and defects. The resulting centimeter‐scale films deliver high H2/CO2 separation performance, and are highly reproducible.

Variational approach to solutions for a class of fractional boundary value problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2015
In this paper we investigate the existence of infinitely many solutions for the following fractional boundary value problem \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} _tD^{\alpha}_T(_0D^{\alpha}_t u(t))=\nabla W(t,u(t)),\qquad t\in [0,T],\\ u(0)=u(T)=0,

Exciton‐Polaritons in Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks: A Platform for the Reversible Modulation of Strong Light‐Matter Coupling via the Chemical Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Strong exciton‐photon coupling is achieved by integrating porphyrin ligand‐based MOF nanoparticles in optical cavities, as evidenced by pronounced polariton branch anticrossing. The porous nature of the resonator enables precise, reversible tuning via vapor pressure, unlocking unprecedented chemical‐environment controlled dynamic polaritonic platforms ...
