Phase‐Space Generalized Brillouin Zone For Spatially Inhomogeneous Non‐Hermitian Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel phase‐space generalized Brillouin zone (GBZ) framework to devised captures the interplay of spatial inhomogeneity and non‐local non‐Hermitian effects. This reveals new degrees of freedom such as jumps in the bifurcated GBZ, as well as new routes for topological protection, with potential applications in characterizing inhomogeneous or ...

Unusual Van der Waals Magnetoresistance in Stacked Ferromagnetic Fe3GeTe2: The Role of Atomically Sharp Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Angular‐dependent magnetoresistance in stacked Fe3GeTe2 reveals high‐order UAMR that defies spin‐current‐based interpretations. Instead, it originates from internal electric fields at atomically sharp interfaces (ASI), in excellent agreement with two‐vector MR theory.
