El objetivo del presente estudio fue detectar la presencia de Salmonella sp. en 30 tortugas motelo (Geochelone denticulata) de un zoocriadero de la zona de Iquitos, Perú. Las muestras de heces se obtuvieron por hisopado rectal y se procesaron mediante pruebas de cultivo bacteriológico y bioquímicas. El 6.7% de las muestras fueron positivas a Salmonella
