Geodesic Mappings and Einstein Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we study fundamental properties of geodesic mappings with respect to the smoothness class of metrics. We show that geodesic mappings preserve the smoothness class of metrics. We study geodesic mappings of Einstein spaces.

Merge Tree Geodesics and Barycenters with Path Mappings

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2023
Comparative visualization of scalar fields is often facilitated using similarity measures such as edit distances. In this paper, we describe a novel approach for similarity analysis of scalar fields that combines two recently introduced techniques: Wasserstein geodesics/barycenters as well as path mappings, a branch decomposition-independent edit ...

On the geodesic mappings of pseudo-Riemannian spaces with special supplementary tensor

open access: yesPracì Mìžnarodnogo Geometričnogo Centru, 2021
В роботі досліджуються два псевдоріманових простори, які мають спільні геодезичні лінії. Вимагається виконання умов алгебраїчного та диференціального характеру на тензор Рімана одного з них.

Some Results on Fixed Points for Monotone Inward Mappings in Geodesic Spaces

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2022
In this article, the partially ordered relation is constructed in geodesic spaces by betweeness property, A monotone sequence is generated in the domain of monotone inward mapping,  a monotone inward contraction mapping is a  monotone Caristi inward ...

INVARIANTS FOR F-PLANAR MAPPINGS OF SYMMETRIC AFFINE CONNECTION SPACES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This research is motivated by similarity of basic equations of $F$-planar mappings of symmetric affine connection space $\mathbb A_N$ involved by J. Mike and N. S. Sinyukov, and which have been studied by Mike s research group (I. Hinterleitner, P.

Geodesics in the Space of Measure-Preserving Maps and Plans [PDF]

open access: yesArchive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, 2008
We study Brenier's variational models for incompressible Euler equations. These models give rise to a relaxation of the Arnold distance in the space of measure-preserving maps and, more generally, measure-preserving plans. We analyze the properties of the relaxed distance, we show a close link between the Lagrangian and the Eulerian model, and we ...

Advancing Age Modulates Associations Between Cognitive Impairment and Brain Volumes in Early MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment is common in multiple sclerosis (MS), but manifestations following the first demyelinating event are relatively unexplored. We investigated cross‐sectional associations between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)–derived brain volumes and the presence of cognitive impairment outcomes five years after the first ...

Nickel‐Free Synthesis of Poly(pyrene‐4,5,9,10‐tetraone) for Sodium‐based Batteries: Insights into Electrode Architecture and Reversible Na‐ion Insertion

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A nickel‐free and practical synthesis strategy to poly(pyrene tetraone) and its integration with a percolated CNTs/Ketjen Black network enables stable cycling and efficient energy storage in a sodium‐based batteries. This work demonstrates how controlling polymer structure and electrode architecture improves ion transport and mitigates dissolution in ...

Retinal Vessel Segmentation: A Comprehensive Review From Classical Methods to Deep Learning Advances (1982–2025)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.
