Intersecting Two Quadrics with GeoGebra

2019
This paper presents the first implementation in GeoGebra of an algorithm computing the intersection curve of two quadrics. This approach is based on computing the projection of the intersection curve, also known as cutcurve, determining its singularities and structure and lifting to 3D this plane curve.

The Relation Tool in GeoGebra 5

2015
GeoGebra is open source mathematics education software being used in thousands of schools worldwide. Its new version 5 supports automatic geometry theorem proving by using various methods which are already well known, but not widely used in education software. GeoGebra's new embedded prover system chooses one of the available methods and translates the

Exploring Mathematics with GeoGebra

International Journal for Technology in Mathematics Education
Mathematics seems abstract, difficult, and uninteresting to many students, which in turn reduces their interest in learning mathematics. It has been found that the use of ICT and meaningful contexts of problem-solving tasks can make learning mathematics more enjoyable and easier to understand for students.
