MdDSK2a‐Like‐MdMTA Module Functions in Apple Cold Response via Regulating ROS Detoxification and Cell Wall Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under cold stress, MdDSK2a‐like is degraded via the 26S proteasome pathway, thereby alleviating the degradation of MdMTA induced by the 26S proteasome and autophagy pathways mediated by MdDSK2a‐like. The accumulated MdMTA increases the m6A levels of cold‐responsive genes, thereby contributing to increased ROS detoxification, deposition of cell wall, as

Economic geography : real or hype? [PDF]

open access: yes
Economic geography has become a mantra for many economists, geographers, and regional scientists. Previous studies have tested the importance of economic geography for production activities and found a significant association between them.

Moisture Harvesting by the Structure Regulation of Hygroscopic Hydrogel for Energy and Water Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Hygroscopic hydrogels are capable of utilizing the moisture from air, which can transfer the gaseous water to liquid by a surface phase transition. Taking advantage of this water, sustainable water production, thermal management, and electricity generation can be realized.

Towards a Poststructuralist Perspective on the Making and the Power of Maps. A Response to Ball and Petsimeris

open access: yesForum: Qualitative Social Research, 2010
This paper takes the recent article "Mapping Urban Social Divisions" by BALL and PETSIMERIS, published in FQS, as a starting point for discussing the role of maps for visualizing knowledge and as an object of research in the social sciences.

Confining Surface Oxygen Redox in Double Perovskites for Enhanced Oxygen Evolution Reaction Activity and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The double perovskite BaSrNiWO6 is developed as an oxygen evolution reaction catalyst. B‐site W6+ dissolution drives in situ reconstruction of the surface to a disordered, NiO‐like layer. Consequently, local oxygen species are activated for a surface lattice oxygen evolution mechanism (sLOEM).

Scalable and Integrated Photocatalytic Reactor Systems for Solar‐to‐Fuel Production: Photoredox and Photoreforming Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Solar fuels and other value‐added chemicals derived from light‐driven reactions are highly desirable. Although advanced photoactive materials have been reported, demonstrations of their feasibility in large‐scale production are needed. Hence, strategies and recent efforts in scaling up photocatalytic reactors and integrating them into comprehensive ...

Potassium‐Ion Battery Electrodes from Potassium Ferricyanide Nanoplatelets: Thin Platelets and Thick Electrodes Unlock High Areal Capacity and Excellent Rate Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study converts bulk KFC powder into 2D nanoplatelets using a simple liquid‐phase exfoliation. These 2D nanoplatelets are mixed with carbon nanotubes to create porous, conductive, and robust electrodes with thicknesses reaching up to 105 µm. The KFC/SWCNT nanocomposite achieves an areal capacity of 0.65 mAh cm−2 at 20 mA g−1, with a retention of 92%

Weakly Solvating Electrolytes for Lithium and Post‐Lithium Rechargeable Batteries: Progress and Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Weakly solvating electrolytes (WSEs) use anion‐dominated solvation to form stable interphase layers, overcoming energy density and lifespan limitations. This review clarifies their design, anion‐mediated interface regulation, and compatibility with lithium/post‐lithium systems, distinguishing them from conventional electrolytes, high concentration ...

Economic Geography and the Evolution of Networks [PDF]

open access: yes
An evolutionary perspective on economic geography requires a dynamic understanding of change in networks. This paper explores theories of network evolution for their use in geography and develops the conceptual framework of geographical network ...

US employment exposure to domestic and foreign tariff changes under NAFTA

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract Literature examining the effects of changes in trade agreements and import competition on US employment and wages has focused primarily on non‐agricultural industries and changes in US import tariffs. We propose a method for measuring worker exposure to changes in agricultural tariffs using a newly developed county‐level dataset of employment ...
