TRIM21‐Mediated K11‐Linked Ubiquitination of ID1 Suppresses Tumorigenesis and Promotes Cuproptosis in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ID1 is regulated by E3 ligase TRIM21, which adds non‐degradative K11‐linked ubiquitin at Lys91, disrupting ID1‐TCF12 binding and freeing TCF12 to upregulate copper transporter SLC31A1. Enhanced SLC31A1 elevates intracellular copper, triggers cuproptosis, and inhibits ESCC growth.

Some Evidence on the Nature of Urbanization Economies [PDF]

open access: yes
Urbanization economies – the effects on productivity and utility created endogenously by larger cities – are a fundamental component of both the economic geography of modern societies and the perpetuation of innovation and economic growth at a national ...

Genomic Variation Underpins Genetic Divergence and Differing Salt Resilience in Sesbania bispinosa

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sesbania, a leguminous halophyte, thrives in saline soils. Comparative genomics reveals key genomic variations—particularly chromosomal inversions—are identified as contributors to population differentiation and salt resilience. These findings advance the understanding of genomic variation driving evolution and phenotypic differentiation and offer ...

AI‐Driven Defecation Analysis by Smart Healthcare Toilet: Exploring Biometric Patterns and Eu‐Tenesmus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A healthcare toilet system is introduced to passively measure defecation behavior. Real‐time data on stool dropping duration, thickness, and a newly defined “eu‐tenesmus” interval show correlations with stool form and gender differences. Results from 45 defecation events reveal a promising method for comprehensive defecation analysis.

Developments in the status and content of geography teaching in the secondary schools of Finland in 1888-1977

open access: yesFennia: International Journal of Geography, 1982
Geography occupied largely the position of a subsidiary subject to history in the Finnish secondary schools towards the end of the 19th century, but later spread to cover all the forms in the school, first those of the middle school and later the high ...

Structural Variations Associated with Adaptation and Coat Color in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau Cattle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the landscape of structural variants in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau cattle through long‐read sequencing. Discoveries include metabolic and oxygen‐regulation gene variants, along with a 2‐Mb KIT‐containing inversion and translocations responsible for cattle gray coat. These findings highlight the significant role of structural variants in
