ABSTRACT Paralic depositional systems are complex and heterogeneous sedimentary environments, presenting challenges for predicting reservoir architecture and connectivity. Their stratigraphic and facies variability arises from the dynamic interplay between fluvial, tidal and wave processes, and their sensitivity to sea‐level fluctuations, sediment ...

Geology of giant quartz veins and their host rocks from the Eastern Pyrenees (Southwest Europe)
Giant Quartz Veins (GQVs) are ubiquitous in different tectonic settings and, besides being often related to hydrothermal ore deposits, also represent large-scale fingerprints of the structural and geochemical history of the rocks in which they are hosted.

Influence of basement rocks on fluid evolution during multiphase deformation: the example of the Estamariu thrust in the Pyrenean Axial Zone [PDF]
Calcite veins precipitated in the Estamariu thrust during two tectonic events are studied in order to (i) decipher the temporal and spatial relationships between deformation and fluid migration in a long-lived thrust and (ii) determine the influence of ...

Air stable bimetallic iron one‐component systems capable of CO2 cycloaddition to epoxides under 1 bar of pressure of CO2. In this work, one‐component iron catalysts for the atom‐economical reaction of CO2 with epoxides have been used as efficient catalysts for the carbon dioxide cycloaddition into cyclic carbonates in excellent yields.
