Influence of Caprock Morphology on Solubility Trapping during CO2 Geological Sequestration

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
Carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technology is one of the indispensable alternatives to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. In this technology, carbon capture and transport grid will send CO2 to the storage facilities that are using various ...

Threshold phenomena in erosion driven by subsurface flow

open access: yes, 2004
We study channelization and slope destabilization driven by subsurface (groundwater) flow in a laboratory experiment. The pressure of the water entering the sandpile from below as well as the slope of the sandpile are varied.

Enhanced Oxidase‐Like Activity of Ag‐Decorated V2O5 Hollow Microspheres for the Colorimetric Detection of Mercury (II) Ions

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this work, we report the synthesis of a novel Ag‐decorated V2O5 nanozyme with intrinsic oxidase‐like activity for the colorimetric detection of Hg2+ ions. The Ag/V2O5 hollow microspheres were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method followed by Ag nanoparticle decoration and thoroughly characterized by XRD, XPS, SEM, TEM, HRTEM, and EDX.
