Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,

Colonial Geological Surveys [PDF]
IN his article on Colonial Geological Surveys in NATURE of March 4, Mr. V. A. Eyles gave a useful resume of recent discussions. There are, however, some further considerations to be noted. The figures he quoted from Sir Edmund Teale's paper of the results of mining operations, following upon the activities of Colonial Geological Surveys, do not include

With a charge‐ion coupling engineering strategy, a K+/vacancy disordered K0.5Mn0.8Co0.1Ti0.1O2 material has been designed. The targeted transition metal doping disrupts charge ordering and inducing K+/vacancy disordering, thereby enabling rapid K+ diffusion through interconnected channels and a stable solid‐solution reaction mechanism.

Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...
