Advanced imaging and simulations reveal that ocean acidification reshapes these zones, shifting the coral portfolio of mineral phases which alters skeletal resistance to mechanical stress.

Nitrogen availability promotes particulate to mineral‐associated organic carbon conversion by reducing microbial carbon use efficiency. Passive restoration has no effect on soil organic carbon stocks.
